MEDICALLY KIDNAPPED

Hello my name is LaJade Evans and I’m reaching out in hopes to get my story published. My son was wrongly removed from my care by Shands Hospital in Gainesville Florida. This is my story.

On November 26th of 2019 I took my son to the Shands hospital in Gainesville Florida because he was coughing and had an unusual bump on his hip. The doctor prescribed my son an antibiotic called Keflex. I went to cvs and had the medication filled the next day and gave it to my son. The medication made my son so sick. He started throwing up and eventually stop eating. So December 3rd of 2019 I took my son back to Shands Hospital in Gainesville Florida and they immediately placed him in PICU. They ran tests on him and we got three different answers so I told them I wanted to take my son somewhere else to get a second opinion. A social worker then came to me and said the hospital was calling CPS on me and I asked why. All I did was give my son a medication that they doctors prescribed me and told me to give him. The following day CPS investor Jocelyn Weston came to the room me and my son was in and spoke briefly with me. She didn’t tell me the allegations I was being accused of after I’ve asked her numerous of times. She never followed up to do a home visit or anything. So on December 10th of 2019 the day we was supposed to leave Shands Hospital in Gainesville Florida the nurses kept telling me I had to wait until someone came and spoke with me. So I waited and waited. Around 7:00 pm that night the CPS worker came to the room me and my son was waiting in and asked can she speak with me outside the room. My son (2 at the time) was crying and screaming mommy. So I asked her why she can’t speak to me right here and she said it’ll just be briefly and I’ll be back. So as I’m walking towards the door I see two police officers and I asked her, “what’s going on ? Are y’all trying to take my son from me” she replied “no. That I’ll be back”. So I said okay. As we walked around the corner the police officers placed handcuffs on me and said they was taking me into custody for medical neglect. Scared out of my mind I didn’t know what to do or expect. All I could think about was my 2 year old in a hospital by himself screaming and calling out for me. When I got to the jail I called my family so someone could go sit with him. They had a shelter hearing while I was in jail and instead of contacting my family to see if they wanted my son, CPS made the decision to place him in foster care (Amanda and Deena’s home). When I got out of jail a caseworker by the name of mickeala bailey contacted me and ask if it was okay to come out and speak with me. I told her yes. So she came out and we briefly spoke. I asked why my son wasn’t placed with family and she ignored the question. She asked me if I would be willing to do a psychological test to determine the case plan so I could get my son back. I told her yes. I was willing to do whatever it took to have my son back. On the 17th of February in year 2020 I went to see Dr.Ables at village counseling in Gainesville Florida. She told me I still amazing and recommended my son to be placed back

into my care. So excited I just knew I would have my son back. But nope at the next court hearing mickeala Bailey told the judge they’re goal was adoption for my son and I was confused. Mickeala Bailey also stated Shands Hospital kidney transplant team stated if my son was to be placed back into my care they wouldn’t place him on the kidney list and I was confused. So I told them I’ll sign my rights over if it’s to a family member. They wanted my son in a medical setting so I had a aunt who was a nurse. She said she would get my son. She did a home study and it got approved but mickeala Bailey filed it as denied because my auntie found out about the medication the hospital prescribed him and said that’s what made my son sick. She said because my son has a chronic kidney disease he was not supposed to be on it. So she started challenging them on it and questioning them about it. I later found out the allegations they was accusing me of was missed appointments. I had another auntie with a police background that tried to get my son and they denied her too.

Shands Hospital employee gave out Amanda and Deena’s home address and mickeala Bailey (caseworker) called me to make me aware and told me I could go to jail and I’m like I don’t know their address. Why are you calling threatening me? Amanda then wrote a false report stating I had been stalking their home and her other kids was afraid for their lives. Then I would text Amanda for updates pertaining to my son and she once told me “ I better be lucky she’s even updating me because she doesn’t have too and she has other kids to worry about besides my son”. Amanda also told the courts she was in fear of me and if they allowed her to adopt my son she’s not willing to let me continue to contact him or see him. After going to trial my attorneys was able to catch the doctors in a lie. They was able to reveal that the missed appointments I was being accused of was fabricated but the judge (James Nilon Amanda’s friend) still sided with dcf and decided to terminate my parental rights on December 9th of 2020. Since then my uncle (mother’s brother) and wife has trying to get my son. They have an approved home study, and background checks passed. They even did a 8 week adoption course mickeala Bailey and her supervisor Staci Barb asked them to do. But GAL file a motion stating they didn’t want my son to be placed outside of Amanda and Deena care. They want only Amanda and Deena to adopt my son and that’s not right or case and that’s against federal laws. Of course Amanda wrote another false statement and file it with the courts. My auntie went to court March 17th 2021 to testify on why they thought it would be a good fit for my son to be placed with family. Amanda testify and said my family only contacted them twice and they don’t know much about my son so they shouldn’t get him. My family only did what Staci Barb asked of them to do. They didn’t know they was supposed to reach out on a daily basis. Amanda should’ve reached out. But of course the judge asked GAL and DCF, partnership for strong families who they want my son with and they all said Amanda so the judge sided with them.

I’ve been doing research and studying my case trying to figure out why they wanted my son so bad and after talking to others in my situation I’ve later found out my son was medically kidnapped and pretty much sold for money. Because he’s a medical needed child he’s worth thousands of dollars. I’ve been making complaints to the governor of Florida, inspector general office of Florida, attorney general office, Patricia and Chad and they all have ignored my concerns and failed to further inspect my case. I was never given a case plan and they wanted to adopt my son after 3 months of being out my care. Under the federal laws DCF #1 goal is always reunification and they’re only supposed to consider adoption after the child is out of biological parents care 12 months out of 22 months. These people didn’t give me a fair chance and it saddens me of how evil people can really me. If you look on my Facebook page I’ve made live videos and posts talking about my case.
